Mariano Matamoros

This week, Bellapod is dedicated to Mariano Matamoros. Known as Nano by his friends, he was one of the best photographers to ever put his eye behind a camera lens. His attention to detail, lighting, creativity and his talent that was so unique made his photos easy to publish.

Although he photographed anything from concerts, sporting events, weddings, portraits, to landscape and food, he was best known for his images of models. Throughout his career, he learned how to perfect his techniques and create his own style. This allowed him to be one of the best and most famous photographers of models and his collections are viewed by people all over the world every day.

He has been credited with helping many women start and advance their modeling and acting careers. He has also tutored and inspired other photographers with their styles and skills. His pictures are always floating all over the Internet, newspapersmagazines and television. Anytime a group of foreign photographers was coming to Costa Rica, they always wanted to meet him and have him work on their projects. Anytime he travelled to other countries, there were models waiting for him to shoot them.

He worked very hard and really enjoyed what he did. Not because he was surrounded with beautiful women, but because photography was his life. He once said that even if he didn't make any money, he would still be taking pictures as long as he was able to eat.

Other than his passion for photography, he enjoyed metal music, working out in the gym, spending time with his friends and family, but most importantly his life. There was never a moment when he didn't have a smile on his face or when he wasn't using all of his energy to liven up every setting. On Saturday, September 4, 2010, Nano moved his studio to heaven and is busy shooting angels every day while blasting Iron Maiden from his stereo.

Esta semana, Bellapod está dedicada a Mariano Matamoros. Conocido como Nano por sus amigos, él era uno de los mejores fotógrafos en poner el ojo trás la camara. Su atención al detalle, la iluminación, la creatividad y su talento era tan única que hizo fácil la publicacion de sus fotos.

A pesar de haber fotografiado desde conciertos, eventos deportivos, bodas, retratos, paisajes y alimentos, fue mejor conocido por sus imagenes de modelos. A lo largo de su carrera, aprendió a perfeccionar sus técnicas y crear su propio estilo. Esto le permitió ser uno de los más mejores y mas famosos fotografos de modelos y sus colecciones son vistas a menudo por personas alrededor del mundo.

Él se ha acreditado por ayudar a muchas mujeres a empezar y avanzar en sus carreras como modelos y actrices. También ha ensenado a otros fotógrafos con sus estilos y habilidades. Sus fotografias se pueden encontrar por toda la Internet, periódicos, revistas y televisión. Cada vez que venia un grupo de fotógrafos extranjeros a Costa Rica, pedian tenerlo en sus proyectos. Cada vez que viajaba a otros países, habian modelos esperando por sus sesiones fotograficas.

Trabajó muy duro y realmente disfrutaba lo que hacía. No porque estaba rodeado de bellas mujeres, sino porque la fotografía era su vida. Una vez dijo que aunque no ganara dinero y mientras tuvieras que comer él seguiria tomando fotos.

Aparte de su pasión por la fotografía, el disfrutaba de música metal, ir al gimnasio y pasar tiempo con sus familiares y amigos, pero más importante era disfrutar de su vida. Nunca paso un momento que no tuviera una sonrisa en su cara o que usara toda su energía para darle vida a todo su entorno. El Sábado 4 de septiembre del 2010, Nano mudo su estudio al cielo y está ocupado fotografiando angeles todos los días mientras escucha Iron Maiden en su estéreo.
